Odisha CM lays foundation stones for two hospitals [ PTI ]

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today laid the foundation stones for two hospitals which are being promoted by Tata Steel at Gopalpur and Kalinga Nagar in the state’s Ganjam and Jajpur districts, respectively.
The two hospitals will have a combined capacity of 700 beds and house modern facilities. The steel major is to invest Rs 115 crore in the two projects.
Although both hospitals will begin with 200 beds each, the one at Gopalpur would be gradually upgraded to 500 beds.
The hospitals would have facilities for surgery, gynaecology and obstetrics, pediatrics, ENT and pathology.
Tata Steel Chairman Cyrus P Mistry stressed on his company’s commitment to providing affordable healthcare infrastructure through various collaborations.
For the two hospitals inaugurated today, Tata Steel has joined hands with Medica Hospitals, a Kolkata-based healthcare specialist.
