BJD president and CM Naveen Patnaik to address all 3 rallies to be held in Bbubaneswar, Berhampur and Sambalpur on 'Biju Jayanti' today
The ruling BJD, which has swept all major elections since its inception in 1997, is gearing for three mass conventions at three different cities in the state on Wednesday. With elections round the corner and buoyed up by the recent clean sweep in the urban local body elections, the regional outfit is gearing up for a major show of strength, revealed party sources.
The three mass conventions in Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur and Berhampur would also mark the birth anniversary Biju Patnaik, after whom the party is named. The party has announced that the youth convention would be held in Bhubaneswar, while the women and kendu leaf pluckers’ congregation would be held simultaneously in Berhampur and Sambalpur respectively.
