CM Naveen Patnaik says, "State government will formulate a Holistic Women Policy shortly" [Odisha Channel]

Women empowerment is an instrument of good governance and to further scale up the interventions in that direction, the State government will formulate a ‘Holistic Women Policy’ shortly, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said on in the State Assembly Monday.
In his motion of thanks on the Governor S.C. Jamir’s address, Patnaik said that Mission Shakti had satisfactorily worked towards economic-emancipation, familial cohesion and social harmony since 2001 till date.
“To encourage further, our government shall endeavour to bring down the interest against loans to women SHGs.
“Our government does not believe in doing politics over inhuman incidents like rape and crime against women and children. We should sit together to find solutions collectively,” he said.
The proposed policy for women, according to sources, is being prepared for the State government by the UNFPA. It had not been made public due to paucity of time before the recently held general elections.
In his address, Patnaik also highlighted a series of the achievements of his government and the new policies that his government was about to announce to keep the different sections of the voters in good humour till the next elections.
