CM Naveen Patnaik issued 12-point dos and don'ts guideline to party MLAs, MPs [OdishaDiary]

Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik on Friday issued a 12-point guideline to his MLAs and MPs for better coordination in the party and in the Government.

Addressing the party legislators, Patnaik in his advisory told the MLAs and the MPs not to appoint any of their kith and kin or even their distant relatives as their representative in their respective constituencies. He also told them not to appoint their relatives or family members as chairman of their Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs).

Patnaik said the MLAs and the Ministers should keep better coordination among themselves in the implementation of party’s poll promises and the welfare programmes of the Government. He told them categorically not to do anything which will affect the image of the party and the Government.

Patnaik said the party MPs should take the local MLAs into confidence before releasing MPLAD fund. He also asked the MLAs to prepare prospective development plan for their constituency and submit the plan to the party observer of the district by August.
